I had to repost this photo, because not only is this a pretty bookshelf, it's also a secret passage!!

When I was younger, I wanted a house with a secret passage, library, dumb waiter, elevator, window seats, canopy bed and solarium.

So basically, I wanted to live inside the game of Clue, minus the grisly murders.

I'm not entirely sure what shenanigans I was planning to engage in with access to these secret passages, but it would have been awesome, I'm sure.

I always pictured myself in a massive house when I was little, possibly because I grew up in an apartment.

I now see the error of my ways, with a big house comes many rooms to clean and fill with furniture and lots of property taxes.

These days I just picture a really pretty condo or loft with a dishwasher and washer/dryer combo.

I wouldn't sneeze at a window seat though..

I would live in your house with you! Except I think then our house would have a secret dairy queen behind the bookshelf.

For me, I always wanted to live in the house that Webster lived in after he, George and Catherine moved from their apartment set - it was filled with dumb waiters, secret passages and all kinds of nooks and crannies.

Sure, I can remember a piece of TV trivia from the 1980s, but do I remember where I put my apartment keys a couple hours ago?...

The cottage my dad grew up in had secret rooms. It was amazing.

We drove the boat up to the new owners' dock one day and introduced ourselves and they let us take a peek around the house, so I got to see the rooms. SO cool.
