lazy or so crazy it just might work?

Sometimes, an online resource comes along that is too good to ignore and this is clearly one of them.

Via Metafilter..I give you, Lazy Library

A website, dedicated to recommending books that are no longer than 200 pages, on any subject, to help those that find reading to be "time consuming".

At first I thought this was funny but the more I think about it, the more I can see how this kind of service might be helpful.

I have been asked on the desk..."where can I find a short book?" or "How can I find something on this topic that is easy to read?" .. most people don't even want to deal with books because they perceive books as an old fashioned resource, one which can be long and over-written.

Maybe lazy library will help convince people that books are not the enemy and that they might try looking at a longer one when they have a chance.

Then again, maybe not.

Books shorter than 200 pages make me sad when I get to the end. If they're good, but then if they're not good, I don't usually get to the end.

Of course, good books that are longer than 200 pages make me sad when I get to the end too. :) But at least they offer more material for rereading!

Yeah, I too like a good, long book. More to love.
